ABOUT US

  • Gray Pumpelly

    FOUNDER + OWNER

Gray was raised in a family where art was valued and he was immersed in it at an early age. Creative expression was highly encouraged and he has carried this gift with him throughout his life. Whether painting, sculpting, woodworking, or playing music Gray finds a way to express his creativity. Gray received his bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Louisiana Tech, but after college he became passionate about working with wood while doing volunteer work with an organization called Friendships. This organization opened the door for him to help restore two historic wooden yachts in Los Angeles. After his time with the charity he wanted to further his skills and knowledge about woodworking. He went on to attend The Chattanooga Woodworking Academy where he learned the ins and outs about fine woodworking and furniture making. This creative pathway has led him to designing and creating custom furniture with the greatest attention to detail. Each piece is carefully and artistically crafted by hand using the skills and talents he has learned and nurtured throughout his life journey.

When he’s not in the shop, you can find him adventuring around with his wife and children to nearby music festivals, camping and fishing on local beaches, or building things that keep his two children occupied with tons of fun.
